Together, we work on people-centred care — our care.
The WMCZ (Participation of Clients in Care Institutions Act) states that every healthcare provider with more than 25 employees must establish a client council. DrechtDokters therefore set up its client council in mid-2023. With the voice of patients – to discuss, participate, and decide – we improve the quality of care.
In all our decisions, we consider what matters to you from your perspective. We work closely with the client council in a relationship of trust, as they represent the collective interests of the residents in our region. Together, we work towards people-centred care — our care.
Our client council consists of a chair and at least three members and acts as a discussion partner for the Executive Board of DrechtDokters. They give advice when we ask for it, and also on their own, about the organisation and the care we provide. In this way, they contribute to important topics for patients who either use the out-of-hours GP practice at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Dordrecht, or who are involved in specific DrechtDokters care programs at their own GP (COPD, diabetes, CVRM, elderly care).
